There’s nothing like a good hearty breakfast to get you moving . . . especially when you’re camping. You don’t need to eat cold Poptarts or dry cereal . . . making a good breakfast when you’re camping is almost as easy as doing it at home.
A simple bacon/sausage egg and cheese sandwich is an excellent breakfast and very easy to make.
French toast, pancakes, and waffles are regular camping fare for us. Obviously, you don’t need any special equipment to make the French toast or the pancakes but a well seasoned cast iron pan goes a long way to make the cooking easier.
For the waffles we have a cast aluminum waffle iron that is designed to go directly on the stove. Bacon or sausage as a side with a hot cup of coffee and you’re good to go.
Admittedly, we are spoiled when it comes to coffee. For camping with have the Coleman drip coffee maker . . . it was expensive, it takes up way too much room and it makes AWESOME coffee!
Can you tell who is and is NOT the morning person? Hehehe
