Firewater Friday - Bolo Punch

A bolo punch is a punch used in boxing.   It is a seldom used, tactical maneuver,. , ,  basically, a bait and switch movement.  It consists of a circular motion performed with one arm to distract an opponent; and then when the opponent concentrates on the hand that is circling, the bolo puncher will usually sneak in a punch with the opposite hand . . . nailing the opponent with a full punch.

Sneaky . . . I like it!

The Bolo Cocktail packs a punch, as well.  But it’s far less painful, unless you drink too much of it!   Yummy!

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 oz Light Rum
  • 1 oz Roses Sweetened Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Triple Sec
  • 8 oz Orange Juice
  • 1 Tsp Powdered Sugar

Pour the dark rum, lime juice, triple sec, orange juice and sugar into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon, and serve.
