Firewater Friday - A Buzzard is Two Faced

You know what I hate?  Two-faced pretenders.   Especially, those with their pious, holier-than-thou-ee-ness. Their religious icons dangling around their necks and draped from their rear view mirrors in a public display of devotion.  All the while secretly waging petty little wars and making a whole big show of being goody-goody.

Like literally dousing themselves in perfume and planting those cheesy little pop-up air fresheners all around an area where there is a person with a well known acute allergy to fragrances.  And then when that person gets a severe asthma attack is right by their side feigning and offering assistance.

Mind you, this ruse isn’t lost on the person involved.  For the sake of harmony, they haven’t called the other person out.    I say screw being agreeable . . . but that’s just me being me.

That being said . . . and somewhat related . . . this is one of my favorite bugs bunny cartoons.

Frozen Watermelon Margarita

2 1/2 Cups Seedless Watermelon, Cut Into 1-Inch Cubes
3 Tablespoons Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
4 Ounces Tequila
2 Ounces Orange Flavored Liqueur
1 1/2 Cups Ice
Lime Wheel Or Watermelon Wedge, For Garnish

Put cut watermelon in a plastic bag and place in freezer for a minimum of 2 hours. (If time does not permit this step, add a few extra ice cubes when blending, the difference is not that significant.)

Stuff all ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth. Garnish rim of glass with a lime wheel or a watermelon wedge and serve immediately.
