A memorial to New Hampshire's iconic Old Man of the Mountain was dedicated this month. It gives visitors a chance to view the Old Man . . . in a fashion.
Seven steel rods in a granite base, called "Profilers," hang over Profile Lake and point toward the cliff. Each has a series of irregular shapes on the side. If you position yourself correctly with the shapes, you can view an outline of the profile in the same place where the Old Man was.
I've seen it before and after it fell. The memorial is pretty cool.
